Q:  I already have an eMail address, why do I need eMail forwarding with my new domain name? Return to Top

A:    Acquiring your unique domain name is the first step in your Internet marketing plan. With eMail forwarding, you are able to use your domain name as your permanent eMail address and have mail that is sent to that address be forwarded to the eMail address where you access your eMail.

When you signed up with an Internet Service Provider (ISP) for access to the Internet, you more than likely received an eMail address - typically, a long name, one that really doesn't help you market or brand your name, something like Jbottom13@aol.com or coffee_cream@hotmail.com Although that is the address where you pick up your mail, it doesn't have to be the address you put on your business cards and your stationery. eMail forwarding lets you use your new domain as your permanent eMail address - for example, You@YourName.com -- and our domain hosting service will instantly forward any eMail sent to You@YourName.com to the account where you receive your eMail.

Q: How does this eMail forwarding work? Return to Top

A:    When eMail comes to you at your domain name that we host on our server, it is automatically redirected to your current eMailbox. Now, whenever you want, you can use our handy online manager to change your ISP Internet access (switch from AOL to Earthlink or cable) and it will have no effect on your permanent eMail address. If you want to switch to a faster or less expensive Internet access service, you will have no more worries about changing business cards and stationery to reflect the new address. Only YOU will know about the change. There is no need to send out a mass mailing to inform people to change their address book. You are in charge of your own domain -- make it work for you.

Q: I'm a New Customer. How do I order the eMail forwarding service? Return to Top

A:    First, you have to become an Existing Customer. You can do that by going to our Registration Page and ordering your domain. If you previously registered your domain with another Registrar, you can go to the Transfer Page and change the Registrar to our service where you will have greater control of your domain. Alternatively, you can ask your Registrar to change the DNS domain host servers to our servers

Q: I'm an Existing Customer. How do I order the eMail forwarding service? Return to Top

A:
  • Step 1 - Click on the eMail Forwarding button on the Domain Search screen at http://InternetCrusade.com.
  • Step 2 - On the Existing Customers screen, insert your domain name or eMail address and click the "Continue" button
  • Step 3 - On the Services screen, you will see the entire list of your domains hosted by us, their Expiry date, and a column to check if you want eMail forwarding service for that domain. Check the box and click the "Proceed" button.
  • Step 4 - On the Services Details screen, insert in the FROM field the valid eMail address that you intend to use as your primary eMail address - this will be your account address and will be the one used to set up an AutoReply message and make modifications. Please note that you are also allowed unlimited additional addressing that will be forwarded to the address you designate in Step 5.
  • Step 5 - On the Services Details screen, insert in the TO field the destination eMail address where you want your eMail forwarded. There is no charge for you forwarding the eMail to multiple addresses. Once your account is set up, you will be able to change the forwarding address simply by accessing your account on the Web. Click the "I'm ready" button.
  • Step 6 - On the Order Summary screen, double check the ordering information. If there is a typo or other error, click "Step Back" and make the necessary changes. Then verify credit card info and click "Process" - be careful to click only once.
  • Step 7 - You will shortly receive an eMail acknowledging your order, followed by an eMail containing your login information to access your account.

Q: Can you describe the features of my eMail forwarding account? Return to Top

A:    With our easy-to-use Web interface, you will be able to access your eMail account information from any computer on the Internet. Enter your eMail address and password and you'll be able to make the following modifications "on the fly" -

  1. Change your password
  2. Change your forwarding address
  3. Change your AutoReply message, and
  4. View additional eMail addresses that will be forwarded to you.
You can make these changes any time of the day, from any computer, without the need to contact anyone. That's what we mean by being in control of your domain.
