Viewing the Community Board
Viewing the Category
ACTION …To view any Category on the Community Board, Simply click on any one of the Category Titles.
Note: The Community Board Owner has the ability to change the order of the Category List.
Viewing the Entry
ACTION…To view any of the Entries, click on the Title of the Entry
Note: If there is an image on the Community Board Entry, you can click on the image to view (and save, if you like) the ‘original image’ as it was uploaded in the Entry on the Community Board (uncompressed and original size).
There are four navigation Tabs and they are labeled
ACTION …To enter a new item “Entry” in the Community Board, simply fill in:
A. Your Email Address: Your Email address will not be posted anywhere on the Community Board.
Note: Your Email address, along with your password will grant you access to edit/delete your own postings.
B. Your Password: Create one yourself and don’t forget it ;-)
Note: But just in case you forget your Password, the Community Board has a great feature “Password Assistance” to help you.
C. Applicable Fields:
ACTION …Fill in the appropriate fields that are applicable to you and then press “Post Message”.
Note: Your Entry will be posted in the Category list.
Note: Click on the Entry (Hyperlink) to view Entry
Note: The first field is the Category Title of your Entry in the Category List.
Note: If the field allows for an file to be uploaded you will be able to click “Browse…” to navigate your computer to locate the image(s).
You do not have to concern yourself with sizing or compressing the image. The Community Board includes a feature that will automatically do this for you ‘without’ changing your original image… so upload whatever you prefer. This Feature allows you to share images in their original format (better quality) while making the visit and viewing of the Posting a better (faster) experience.
ACTION …Back to message list will take you back to the List of Entries in the Category you were ‘last’ viewing.
ACTION …Community Board main screen will take you back to the List of Categories.
Note: Presumes you are viewing a Category or an Entry
*** SPECIAL Feature: Password Assistance:
Note: If you enter the wrong password for the Email address you originally entered, you will be taken to Password Assistance.
Password Assistance:. This great feature will prompt you that
“Your password does not match the given email address (indicating the email you entered). Please go back and try again with a valid password”.
…You can then click Try Again”
“If you have forgotten your password, you can have your password sent to you.”
…To use this feature… click on “Send me my Password!” and the password will be sent to the eMail address on file for that entry… The postings are on the Community Board are Secure!!!
4. Click here to edit your items
Note: Presumes you are viewing a Category or an Entry
A. Edit Your Entries.
ACTION …Enter eMail Address and Password and press “List Entries”
Note: YOUR POSTINGS ARE SECURE… only you know your password so only you can change your postings. Please note that the Community Board owner is notified of all postings, changes and deletions.
B. Entries List
ACTION ….Click on Delete to remove the Entry from the Community Board.
Note: You will be prompted, “Are You Sure You're sure?” J
ACTION …You can edit any field in the Entry and then press “Update Message” and then go back to “List of Entries”
iii. View the Entry
ACTION …Simply click on the Title of the Entry to view the entry prior to Editing or Deleting to confirm.

Community Board Main Admin Menu
There are Three Main sections in Admin Menu
There are Six Features in the Options Section and all are VERY easy to use.
A. Category Title
ACTION …Enter the Title you would like to appear above all your Categories
ACTION …Enter the Disclaimer you would like to appear on your Community Board
C. Navigation Type
ACTION …Navigation Type Right will place the four navigation tabs on the right side of your Community Board
ACTION …Navigation Type Left will place the four navigation tabs on the left side of your Community Board
ACTION …There are 3 templates to choose from and each of the three templates offers three different colors to choose from. You can change the look anytime you like. Simply click on the Radio Button above the Style and Color of your choice. With the Navigation Type and Style, you have total flexibility to fit the Community Board with any existing web site.
E. Update Options
ACTION …Press this button to accept your changes
F. Main Admin Menu
ACTION …Press this hyperlink to go back to Main Admin Menu
Note: Here you will begin to see the Real Power in the Community Board as you are now able to create “forms” which users will fill in as they visit your web site(s). The power comes from the ease of use and the flexibility in designing the format of your “forms”. Let’s begin.
Note: If you have Categories in your Community Board they will be listed.
Note: You can Change the order by using the “Up and Down Arrows” on the right side of the screen, and then pressing Update Order
A. Add a New Category
ACTION …Enter the name of the new Category then Press Add New
Note: Your new Category
is added to your List of Categories.
Note: You can change the order by using the “Up and Down Arrows” on the right side of the screen, and then pressing Update Order
B. Edit Names—Edit Fields—Delete—Order
..i. Edit Names
Note: You can edit the Name of the Category at anytime.
ACTION …Simply select “Edit Name” next to the Category you want to edit, make the changes to the Category Name and press “Update”.
Note: Another very nice feature is that if you add fields which are not filled in by the Visitor posting to an entry to your site (because the fields are not applicable to the Visitor) then the field’s names be ‘hidden’ when viewing the web page as to not ‘clutter’ the posting. With this feature, you can add as many fields as you like.
..ii. Edit Fields:
Special Note: You can Edit or Delete the Field or the Field name at anytime.
a. New Field

ACTION …Enter the name of the new field and press Add New Field.
Note: The Field Name now appears under “Display”
1. Edit: When you click on Edit, you can change the Display name and Type. Then press Update Field to accept changes.
2. Delete: When you click Delete you will be prompted to confirm deletion:
Note: Delete means delete, there is no warning;-)
Note: The Display area will show your Field Name
Note: There are 5 different “Types” of Fields
1. Text Type: will allow your visitors to enter Alpha and Numeric Characters in the form.
2. Memo Type: will allow the visitor to enter up to 8000 Characters (Alpha and Numeric)
Note: The Memo Type also allows the user to enter “HTML” code.
3. Image Type: will allow the visitor to upload images.
Special Image Tool: The Community Board comes with a built in Image Tool, which makes it very easy for your visitors to upload images. This tool accepts any photo size (or resolution) and automatically sizes and compresses the image to enhance the visitors load time when viewing the web page. (jump to description of Image Tool)
4. Sound Type upload your music clips to share with your visitors.
5. Movie Type upload your favorite movie clip to share with your visitors.
6. Email Type creates a hyperlink, which will open a new eMail message in the visitors eMail software.
7. URL Type creates a hyperlink, which will take the Visitor to a Web Site.
ACTION …When your press Add New Field or Save Changes, your new Field is entered in the Category and you are prompted to add another Field
ACTION …Use the up and down arrows to place the fields in the order you want them to appear.
Note: The first field will appear as the title on the Community Board.
ACTION …When you are completed with editing, press Save Changes
Note: The manager of the list has access to all the “Entries” on the Community Board (and Entries are listed by Category).
A. Edit: You can edit any field in the Entry and then press “Update Message” and then go back to “List of Entries”
B. Delete: Press Delete …to Delete Entry.
C. View the Entry… Simply click on the Title of the Entry to view the entry prior to Editing or Deleting to confirm.
D. Main Admin Menu… This is a hot link to Main Admin Menu
